Radiography

Digital radiography

Digital radiography is an advanced form of x-ray inspection which produces a digital radiographic image instantly on a computer. This technique uses x-ray sensitive plates to capture data during object examination, which is immediately transferred to a computer without the use of an intermediate cassette. The incident x-ray radiation is converted into an equivalent electric charge and then to a digital image through a detector sensor.

PROCEDURES INVOLVED

  • Low dose X-Ray
  • Long limb X-ray etc

Mobile digital radiography

“Mobile digital radiography reduces the need to move the patient from room to room”

Contrast radiography study

Contrast radiography is a method of studying organs using X-rays and the administration of a special dye, called a contrast medium. This test allows the radiologist to evaluate structures that are not clearly evident on conventional X-ray exams.

PROCEDURES INVOLVED

  • Radiopaque
  • Minimum side effects
