“The department acts as the centre of multidisciplinary care for patients and offers accurate diagnosis and treatment for various haematological diseases such as Lymphoma, Myeloma, Leukaemia, and related malignant blood disorders, Hereditary blood diseases, Thrombocytopenia, Bleeding disorders- Haemophilia etc

Our centre provides free medical treatment for all Thalassemia patients from the time of diagnosis till 18 yrs of age under TamilNadu Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme. We have 5 bedded Thalassemia ward and all children receive blood transfusion and iron chelating agents every month at free of cost. Children from neighbouring districts avail the benefits for the past few years.”
