OUR STORY

A social commitment fuelled by compassion and a good cause

“Offering outstanding paediatric care for the well-being of children so that they can have a healthier future has been our motto since inception.”

Masonic Medical Centre for Children was founded as a social initiative under the Coimbatore Masonic Charity Trust in 1982.
Started as a children’s clinic with one medical officer and a staff nurse, the hospital was the first institution to offer paediatric care in the region. Today, with over twenty-five clinical departments and more than fifty doctors including visiting consultants, the hospital has gained the trust of thousands of families.

Policy Advisor Message

Healthcare is a serious and complex business, offering numerous challenges and plenty of opportunities. No health system, no matter how committed, can tackle all the challenges at the same time. But we do have to figure out a way to manage them. I believe the way to do this will be through the power of communication. We must improve communication between patients and their care givers. We must focus on providing patient-centered care, which means we must collectively talk with patients and their healthcare providers to understand and respond to their needs. We must be sure we focus on the whole patient too, taking into account the patient’s physical, mental and emotional health.
